General Session:
General Session will be held all day on Wednesday and Friday .

Track Sessions:
Track sessions will be held all day on Thursday, January 7. They will be specific to each stage of beekeeping and include the following tracks:

  • Beginning Beekeeping
  • Serious Sideliner
  • Commercial
  • Research

Auxiliary Lunch/Meeting:
The Auxiliary Lunch/Meeting will be held on Thursday afternoon at 11:45 a.m. - 1:15 p.m., January 7. Join us for a delicious lunch and the opportunity to meet the 2016 Honey Queen and Princess candidates. Also participate in the business meeting and learn more about how you can get involved. ALL ARE WELCOME!

Thursday Night Social: Jacksonville Zoo
The Thursday Night Social is a staple of the conference. It allows the group to socialize with the ABF families and friends. This year we will be in the Range of the Jaguar at the Jacksonville Zoo.  

* Separate Registration is Required and Additional Fees Apply!  The deadline to register for the Thursday Night Social is December 9, 2015. On-site registration will not be available for this event as tickets must be pre-purchased.

Foundation Luncheon:
The Foundation luncheon will be held on Friday, January 8 and will feature a keynote presentation as well as brief presentations from the 2016 Foundation Scholarship Recipients.

Saturday Workshops:
The ever-popular Saturday workshops will include 15 different topics and feature hands-on instruction and interactive participation. Workshops will be offered from 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9.

Tradeshow:
The 2016 Tradeshow is yet another place where you can learn about the latest products and services available to beekeepers. We anticipate more than 60 exhibitors, who are all anxious to meet with you to demonstrate the latest in beekeeping innovations.The Tradeshow will be open each day of the conference beginning on Wednesday afternoon, January 6 and closing on Friday, January 8. Be sure to stop by and visit with each vendor to learn more about enhancements in the beekeeping industry.

Silent Auction:
The Silent Auction has become a tradition of the conference. A variety of honey and bee-themed items will be available through the auction with all proceeds benefiting the ABF Legislative Fund and the American Honey Queen program. Donations for the Silent Auction will be accepted onsite at the conference.

The 2016 American Honey Show:
The 2016 American Honey Show will also be held during the conference.This is a prime opportunity to showcase your bees' abilities to produce the purest honey, the best wax and the most goodies. The Honey Show will showcase the best examples of honey and beeswax. It includes 12 classes for honey, four for beeswax and the gift basket class. After the entries are judged, they will be auctioned to benefit the American Honey Queen Program.

Networking Opportunities:
We have heard your requests for more networking opportunities, and dedicated Thursday evening, January 7, just for this. The Thursday evening social* is to be announced right now. This optional activity will require an additional charge during the registration process. Friday evening will be a free night for you to socialize with all your new beekeeping friends after the Live Honey Show Aucton!

ABF Annual Banquet:
The ABF Annual Banquet will be held on Saturday evening. The banquet will feature the coronation of the 2016 American Honey Queen and Princess, as well as the ABF Sweepstakes.
